Volunteers are needed to help clean up Lake Greenwood in the first Lake Greenwood Cleanup Blitz. Outdoor enthusiasts, families, school groups, civic clubs and concerned citizens are encouraged to participate in the cleanup on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Event organizers are also looking for volunteers with boats to assist in the cleanup efforts.
The event begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes with a volunteer lunch at 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, lunch and a chance to win prizes.
